Graphs and charts
We collected general information about the
respondents in terms of ages, hometowns and gender. The first pie chart
illustrates the Interviewees’ background. It is noticeable that the majority of
students who come from Japan, accounting for 40% of international students.
Following that, the number of Chinese students makes up to 26% which is also
twice more than the number of Vietnamese students. While the minority of
students come from Thailand, Taiwan and Jordan are similar with only 7%. The
next graph shows the proportion of respondent’s gender. The number of male and
female are nearly the same at 47% and 53% respectively. The final chart presents
information about the age group of students and the main one is students whose
age are from 18 to 21 with 54%, while 33% of students’ age group is from 22 to
25 and only 13% of students aged over 25.
Major which International students choose
Regarding the major which International study choose, the business makes up to 40% because it has chance to find a job with lots of different positions and fields easily in any country. Students who choose Engineer, IT, Marketing and political science each account for 7% of respondents. For tourism, these amount to 20% of responders.
Factors that impact career decision
We investigated which factors impact International students ' career decision. According to the pie chart, it is clear that they are concerned with advice from their family the most, with 40%. Besides, they are also concerned about their ability, accounting for 27%. 20% of international students pay more attention to their hobbies and only 7% start from other reasons like high salary, ambition. No one consider trend at all.
Time when Interntional students start thinking about career
The pie chart illustates that the percentages of International students who have started thinking about career-path since high school acounted for the majority part, with 53%. In addition,33% of respondents have started at university. The percentage of interviewees who have started thinking about career since secondary school is the same as since primary school, with 7%.
Dream job of interviewees
The pie chart provides information about the dream jobs that
international students want to take. Officer work is the trendiest occupation
of international students, which account for nearly half of total student who interviewed
with 46%. Meanwhile, designers are less popular in comparison with officers,
which makes up 20% of participants. 13% of the respondents said that they want
to become hotel staff and also constitute nearly twice as many students who want to
become car racer. Finally, IT staff or engineer is only 7% of interviewers'
dream jobs.
The way to achieve dream job
The graph reveals how to get their career choice. A majority of students need to graduate bachelor's or
master's degree because they could obtain the comprehension from university and
find the partner. A minority of students need to earn money to start up. This
is one-eighth of students want to complete the university. There are doule the number of respondents who
want to improve skills like English communicaton than gain experience from job
or people in their field.
International student who thinks that career choice is difficult
There is no doubt that people think that it is difficult when they choose careers,especially for International students as the industry competion makes them feel worried and not confident. Despite that fact, 20% of interviewees think that it is not difficult when they choose their career. Most of their answers are the same that they only have a dream and created plan to carry it out step by step.

ReplyDeleteThanks for posting your graphs onto your blog. They are mostly clear and show you received good data from your respondents. Occasionally the graphs are too small and require some effort to interpret. Also, your last summary is a little confusing as it seems to refer to a different data than the graph posted.
